Assisting Hands Owner Awarded for Service Above and Beyond In-Home Senior Care

ELGIN, Ill. (February 22, 2016) — Assisting Hands Home Care today announced its Elgin, Illinois franchise owner has received the Civilian Fire Chief Award for helping to save the life of a senior man.


Franchise owner Angela Flintz was presented the award by the Elgin Fire Department. In addition to owning an Assisting Hands franchise, Flintz is a member of Elgin Triad, a group that teams with the police and fire department to serve elderly members of the Elgin community. During one of their monthly meetings, an elderly gentleman became unconscious. Flintz assisted one of the attending firefighters in a joint effort to resuscitate the senior. He regained consciousness, and a week later he was back on his feet.

Chicagolands newest Assisting Hands Franchise opens in Elgin

ELGIN, Ill. (February 16, 2015) — In-home care provider Assisting Hands Home Care has opened a new location in Elgin, Illinois. Derek and Angela Flintz, long-time residents of the Northwest Illinois area, opened Assisting Hands of Elgin with a goal of enabling clients to live safely and happily in their home environment rather than moving to a care facility. The new business is located at 920 Davis Road, Suite 209, Elgin, IL 60123 and will serve residents in Cook, Kane and McHenry counties.
